FISHING REPORT: June 25, 2026
Weather/Water Conditions
This week we've continued to see spotty weather with scattered rain showers mixed in, but overall there have been some really solid mornings and evenings to get out on the water. Whether you're fishing from the beach, kayak, or boat, anglers have still been finding opportunities to get on fish.
- Water temps are sitting around 70°+ in the inlets and continuing to slowly rise throughout the bay.
- Wind: Variable with periods of stronger winds mixed in
- Water clarity: Fair to good depending on recent weather and location
- Overall conditions: Productive when weather windows allow

The upcoming holiday weekend forecast isn't looking perfect right now, but as we've seen all season, forecasts can change quickly. Keep an eye on the weather and be ready to take advantage of the good windows when they show up.
What's Biting Inshore
The inshore bite has remained strong with plenty of action available throughout the area.
- Flounder – good numbers continue to be caught from the beaches, inlets, and around structure
- Spot & Croaker – running through the inlets in strong numbers and keeping anglers busy
- Bluefish – still roaming the area and providing steady action
- Striped Bass – a few fish continue to be caught, especially during low-light periods
- Black Drum – starting to show up more frequently in the inlets
Most consistent setup we've seen:
Double dropper rigs with Fishbites continue producing spot and croaker, while paddle tails and live bait have been effective for flounder. Frozen shrimp remains a great all-around bait for anglers fishing the inlets.
What's Biting In The Bay
The bay has been absolutely loaded with opportunities lately.
- Cobia – season continues to produce quality fish throughout the bay and oceanfront. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the recent Cobia Tournament, where the winning fish tipped the scales at 42.8 pounds.
- Bull Drum – still one of the hottest bites around, with plenty of citation fish being caught and brought through the shop
- Spanish Mackerel – strong action continues, including several citation-sized fish
- Flounder – showing up around the bay and bridge structures
Offshore reports continue to include:
- Black Sea Bass – fishing has been excellent
- Spadefish – action continues to improve
- Flounder – quality fish continuing to come from offshore structure
Hot Tip:
If the weather keeps you from running offshore, don't overlook the inlets and beaches. There are plenty of fish around right now, and many anglers are finding success close to home.
Best Bite Window
Best times:
- Early mornings before the heat and weather build
- Evenings leading into sunset
- Tide changes throughout the day
Tide influence:
Moving water continues to be key. Fish have been most active around incoming and outgoing tides, especially near structure, channels, and inlet mouths.
If you're new, plan your trip around these windows, it'll make a big difference.

Heading into next week, expect:
- Continued warm summer temperatures
- Water temperatures continuing to slowly rise
- Strong bull drum, cobia, Spanish, and flounder opportunities
- More black drum showing up around the inlets
We're also getting closer to the time of year when we expect to see more puppy drum moving into the inlets. Last season, frozen shrimp was producing plenty of red drum, and we're excited to see that bite start to develop again.
